My Story
I have been teaching harp and concertina since I was in my late teens. I began teaching privately and in various music schools around Limerick City teaching groups, bands, primary school music, secondary school music, duets and trios. I decided to study Music Education. I'm a fully qualified music teacher, having taught in Irish secondary schools for a period of time. During my studies at the University of Limerick, I started tutoring harp on the Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. I also taught at University College Cork. In 2019, I started the first Music Generation Clare Harp Ensemble. I still tutor with Music Generation on their after school hubs, teaching groups and individuals. Since I was 18, I've been travelling around the world performing and tutoring at various festivals. Some festivals include; The Turning Wave (Australia), Milwaukee Irish Fest School (U.S.A), The Catskills Irish Week (U.S.A), Proitze Muhle (Germany), Tocane St. Apré (France), Blas International Summer School, Pat Kelly Irish Week (Elmstein, Germany), Brittany Winter School (France), Harp on Wight (Isle of Wight, U.K), Belfast Trad Fest, Galway Trad Fest, Willie Clancy Summer School, The Russell Weekend (Doolin), Meitheal Summer School, O'Carolan Summer School (Keadue), Scoil Gheimhridh Ghaoth Dobhair, The National Folk Fest (Australia) & The Winter Online Harp School. I also teach online, so do get in touch if you're interested in harp or concertina lessons.
