An online harp workshop aimed at Intermediate to Advanced students. It is said that this tune was heard by fishermen who stayed overnight on Inis Mhic Fhaolain, the Blasket Islands (off the coast of County Kerry) and heard this tune coming from the mists. Join me for a once-off Samhain or Halloween themed online workshop where you’ll learn to play the haunting slow air Port na bPúcaí (Music of the Ghosts). Sheet music will be provided prior to the class. The class will be taught by ear and will be aimed at intermediate to advanced students. Right hand ornamentation and left hand accompaniment will be taught. A recording will be made and will be sent to participants who sign up but cannot make the class. The class will be taught via Zoom and a link will be sent out prior to the date.
